Jamie Foxx To Leonardo DiCaprio After Oscar Win: ‘You’re An Honorary Black Man’
Applause and confetti emojis go out to Leonardo DiCaprio for achieving another feat– the sought after ‘Black Card.’
The actor was given the title of an “honorary Black man” by his Django co-star, Jamie Foxx. Speaking with TMZ at LAX Monday afternoon (Feb. 29), the actor gave props to host Chris Rock and gave DiCaprio the title claiming “he’s as close to Tyrone as you can get.”
“My man Leo, come on man,” Foxx said. “You wanna talk about an honorary Black dude. Come on over Leo! You’re an honorary Black man. In Titanic he drowned, you know Black dudes can’t swim in the ocean.”
After two decades in Hollywood, the actor finally won his first leading actor Oscar for his role in The Revenant Sunday evening (Feb. 28).
It’s no surprise that Foxx would give the title to Leo. After all, the talented actor can hold his own in conversations aside Rock, Dave Chappelle and Q-Tip. The actor chopped it up with the comedians back in October during Q-Tip’s Beats 1 Abstract Radio.
Congrats Leo, you deserve it.
