Kanye West Lends Voice To Global Citizen Compilation Album
Kanye West will be working alongside some of the biggest names in music for Global Citizen's forthcoming compilation album titled Metamorphoses, Pitchfork reports.
The project will include 12 new songs with "crowd sourced lyrics from around the world," submitted by fans and activists via the organization's website. The deadline to submit lyrics is March 31.
Slated to drop in the fall, Metamorphoses also includes Ellie Goulding and Mumford & Sons. More artists who are lending their voices to the project will be announced at a later date.
Global Citizen is an organization that aims to end extreme poverty and also tackles the issues pertaining to climate change. They hold free benefit concerts to raise awareness. Last year's was held in New York City, where Michelle Obama, Malala Yousafzai and Beyonce made appearances.
