Nicki Minaj Discusses Outlook For New Album & Relationship With Meek Mill In 'Nylon'
The Queens native is bearing it all from her solid relationship with Meek Mill to her outlook on her next album within Nylon's latest cover story.
Nicki Minaj is Nylon magazine's latest cover star, and within their April issue, the Queens native is bearing it all from her solid relationship with Meek Mill to her outlook on her next album.
Minaj shared that The Pinkprint album took a lot out of her emotionally, but for her follow-up project she'll be in a happier state of mind. "I needed time to hear myself think again," she said, adding, "because where I left off with The Pinkprint was a little bit emotionally unstable. Now, I want my happiness to be reflected in the new stuff."
Joyous times just might be ahead of Minaj given a non-stop arrival of engagement rumors every other day. Minaj revealed that her third ring from her Philly beau, Meek Mill, will be the confirmation that everyone is waiting for. "We're just taking it one step at a time," she said. "And, you know, if that happens, if I get married, then I'll have a child, and that'll be fun, because I can't wait to hold my baby."
The "Moment 4 Life" rapper also spoke on the importance of remaining true to yourself in a relationship, stating that it was important for her to keep her voice in her pairing with Meek. "Being in a relationship shouldn't mean that you lose your voice," she revealed. "Being in a relationship should mean that you've met a secure enough man to allow you, in a sense, to remain a queen."
