Lakers Investigate Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Nick Young And Jordan Clarkson
A woman by the name of Alexis Jones claims that she and her mother Claudia Munn were sexually harassed on Sunday night (Mar. 20). She says that two Los Angeles Lakers, Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson, were the men who harassed them.
ESPN reports that Jones, who is an activist whose motive is to stop athletes from committing lewd acts against women, said that the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Young (who is engaged to Iggy Azalea) and Clarkson pulled up next to the women at a stoplight, and begin to make obscene gestures at them.
"We were in a small car, and they were in a big Jeep, and it was a bunch of big dudes," she said. 'They're leaning out of the car and making vulgar, sexual gestures. My mom was really shocked. That immediately turned into sobbing."
Jones, who runs a non-profit called I Am That Girl, took a picture of the car and posted it on Instagram, where users identified the people in the car to be Young and Clarkson. The post has since been deleted.
According to ESPN, "Black said Lakers head coach Byron Scott is aware of the situation and has addressed it with the two players. Later Monday afternoon, Jones said the Lakers offered to have her come in to speak with Clarkson and Young, but she was unable to. She said she requested a call with them to talk through the issue and hopefully receive an apology, but that request was declined."
Young, better known as Swaggy P, responded on Twitter in a now-deleted post, which read: "Aye if you want some attention take a pic of me and say anything next to it and post ... The world we live in."
