Preview A 20-Second Snippet Of A$AP Ferg And Missy Elliott’s “Strive”

A$AP Ferg is in a giving mood, and we here at VIBE are in full support.

With his April 22nd release date looming, Ferg took to Twitter Tuesday (April 12) to give fans a musical morsel to hold them over by teasing a snippet of his latest work with Missy Elliott.

Appropriately titled “Strive”–although the preview is only 20 seconds–listeners will hear Ferg spit a few inspirational lyrics over a beat reminiscent of New York’s 1992’s club scene. Produced by DJ Mustard and Stelios Phili, the track is equal parts house and soul with a breath of fresh, up-to-date air. Unfortunately, the Harlemite kept the best part for the actual album release,  and we don’t hear Missy.

“You can be you today. You can be you tonight. Know you’re feelin’ really bad. It’s gonna be alright. I can see it in your face and I know you wanna fly. So get off your ass and create your life,” Ferg says.
