Bas Sees Through The Fakeness In His “Matches” Video
Bas is looking to keep the flame burning on his Too High To Riot album. This week, the Dreamville artist revisits THTR by rolling out the visuals to “Matches,” featuring The Hics.
In the Doubiago Bishara and Nelson G. Navarrete-directed clip, Bas rides shotgun in an old school whip down dark streets, highways and alleys. As he rides, he sees silhouettes of people on buildings — a metaphor for people putting out un-real images of what they want others to perceive them as.
With clever lines like: “They getting Michael Jordan and Harold Miner mixed up,” Bas seems to be able to recognize the frauds from thorough breds.
