Beforehand, Charlamagne Tha God said he had a feeling the New Orleans native was going to stir things up before it was time for the Q&A. "I've been telling y'all all week, that's what he was going to come in here and try to do," he said.

The morning show also played audio from Rick Ross and Trick Daddy's interviews where the rappers separately spoke on their disagreements with Birdman's business dealings. Rumors surfaced that those aforementioned interviews might've played a role in Birdman's disdain for the Breakfast Club.

Stephen Curry To Sponsor Golf Team At Howard University

While the regular NBA season is on vacation until the late fall, Stephen Curry is still keeping his mindset in sports mode with this latest news. According to The Washington Post, the three-time NBA champion announced a sponsorship that’ll establish a Division I golf team at Howard University. It’s the first of its kind for the HBCU.

“It’s a big opportunity for us to expose students to a game that oftentimes is played as business deals are decided and a game that generations of families can play together,” the Washington, D.C.-based university's President Wayne A.I. Frederick said. There will be a men’s and women’s golf team, which was partly inspired by a conversation Curry had with a student during the screening of Emanuel at the university in January. “To hear somebody as passionate about the game as I was, all the while still pursuing their education at Howard…impacted me,” Curry said.

The father-of-three established an endowed fund that’ll allocate a seven-figure contribution to preserving the golf teams. The donation will be spread out over six years. “No matter where you come from or what socioeconomic background you had, we all were that kid once upon a time that was just excited about finding out who they were as a person through athletics,” Curry said.

Students recruited for the team will also have to complete a volunteer program with Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. foundation. The golf team’s formation can span a year from enlisting a coach to filling its roster. Washington D.C.’s Langston Golf Course, which is known as the city's historically black-owned golf course, might serve as practice grounds for the student-athletes.

“I was blessed at a young age that we could afford to play,” Curry said. “I just think about how many kids, especially from underserved communities, have the talent to play but just don’t have the funds or the resources.” Howard University's administration believe the school's Division II golf team ended its run in the 1970s.

Teddy Riley Honored With Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

On Friday (Aug. 16), famed producer Teddy Riley accepted his star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. The momentous achievement arrives decades after the Harlem native launched his professional career, aiding in the New Jack Swing era of the mid-80s and ’90s to crafting timeless R&B hits like “I Like,” “Before I Let You Go,” and “No Diggity.”

“I’m thrilled [about the honor], but it’s a calm, cool excitement because I’m afraid of anxiety,” he said per Variety. “I think, however, I’m going to be pretty emotional about my star the day-of.” The 51-year-old’s star is located on Cahuenga and Hollywood boulevards.

First to honor Riley was R&B vocalist Tank. The "When We" singer began his speech by stating at 12 years old, he was introduced to Riley via Guy's self-titled album. “I proceeded to listen, to be inspired, to learn and understand what greatness and who God is because when he makes something and he has a divine purpose for it, and he wants it to be elevated to a place that very few men have ever been or have ever seen, he does it and he does it very well," he said. "And he’s done that with Mr. Teddy Riley.”

When it was Riley's turn to take the mic, he thanked music industry veterans Mike Concepcion and Clarence Avant for giving him the roadmap to this career journey. “Mike adopted me as a nephew…the one thing that I was able to do with that is make it into something where people can see us and me take someone as giant as him in the street world and bring into the music industry. We made success together."

With the popularity of Top 50 lists, Riley recently shared a roster of producers that listed him at number two, right after the award-winning Quincy Jones. In 2010, Riley also revealed that he was working on a film chronicling the New Jack Swing movement.

“We are starting the film in the ‘80s, so part 1 will be before Michael Jackson,” he shared. “We are covering everything from Guy and Bobby Brown to modern R&B’s first beef, which was between Guy and New Edition. It’s going to be written by Barry Michael Cooper, with input from myself and Jeff Dyson, who was New Edition’s security. The truth shall be revealed.”

Ohio Racist Arrested For Threatening Mass Shooting At Jewish Community Center

An Ohio man was arrested for making threats against a local Jewish community center.

According to reports, local law enforcement became aware of James Reardon Jr., on July 11 after he posted an Instagram video of a man shooting a semi-automatic rifle. Sirens and screams could be heard in the background and officials said the 20-year-old tagged the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown in the post.

New Middletown Police Chief Vince D’Egidio said the video prompted an urgent and swift investigation into Reardon.

"That kicked off an intense investigation, a very rapidly evolving investigation, because of the way the world is," he said.

Reardon has branded himself a white nationalist and anti-Semite. He also reportedly attended  2017's "Unite The Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Over the weekend, the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force raided Reardon's home and located a cache of guns, ammunition and other weapons including a gas mask and bulletproof armor.

Eleven men and women were killed at a Pittsburgh synagogue last October just an hour away from the community center in question. Increased security has been offered to the Jewish center prior to Reardon's arrest and will remain until further notice.

"This is a person that has declared himself as a white nationalist. With the hate crimes and everything else going on, we want to make sure we do our part to make sure this person was taken off the streets very quickly," D’Egidio said.

Reardon is being held n $250,000 bond. He's charged with telecommunications harassment and aggravated menacing.
