DJ Khaled Recalls That Time He Met With President Barack Obama
DJ Khaled has inspiringly remained on track to have one of the best years ever in life and is the epitome of the term, "only up from here." One of his memorable moments had to be his recent White House visit where he spoke at length with President Barack Obama and fellow artists on shaping the minds of the youth and criminal justice reform.
While making a stop in New York City for the promotion of his approaching album Major Key, the Snapchat kingpin stopped by Angie Martinez's radio show to discuss what it was like talking with the leader of the free world.
“The big man invited 15 of us and I didn’t know who was gonna be there. When I got the call, I was like, ‘They gonna let me in?’ I don’t know how this works," he said. "I got the call and we canceled whatever was on the schedule that day. It had to go. That’s President Obama, and not just that, that’s somebody I really like and look up to and I voted for. And that’s the prez.”
Earlier this week, the We The Best captain also announced that he'll be joining Beyonce on her Formation World Tour. "When I see her, I praise her and I just run. I'm focused," he said. "I don't plan on saying nothing wrong but the key is to focus on not doing too much. It's just focus."
