Erykah Badu And Andre 3000's Son Seven Accepted Into Four Colleges

Good looks, Seven.

Erykah Badu and Andre 3000 are enjoying a proud parent moment today. The Cain't Use My Phone singer took to Twitter Monday (April 25) to announce their oldest, Seven, was accepted into all four colleges he applied to.

Badu posted a throwback photo of her and an Afro-clad Andre holding Seven. While Badu and Andre's romantic relationship would later dissolve, Badu Tweeted that the "Hey Ya" artist has been active father in his son's life, and moved to Dallas to be closer to Seven once he began high school.

One would assume since your mama is Erykah and your pappie is one of hip-hop's greatest lyricist, Seven might major in music, or music engineering. Nope, according to Erykah, Seven's interested in other things.

Congrats to Seven.

Actress Who Made 'For Your Consideration' Billboard For Tyler Perry Is Cast In His Show

While Tyler Perry wasn’t all that jazzed about the fact that an actress purchased a billboard begging him to cast her in one of his shows, the stunt appeared to have worked.

According to TMZ, Racquel Bailey reportedly landed a role on Perry’s new television project, a BET show titled Sistas. The site reads that Bailey will be in the Season One finale, and will possibly be in Season Two.

“…Bailey plays a police officer who had a past relationship with one of the lead characters. Perry was on set directing the episode in which Bailey will appear,” the site continues. Bailey also reportedly received a few calls outside of Mr. Perry, leading to about 20 auditions and two roles (not including Sistas).

“This is not the way to get my attention if you’re looking for a role in one of my shows,” wrote Perry on Instagram back in June accompanying a photo of Bailey’s billboard. “This is the third time that someone has done this. PLEASE STOP! To audition is FREE!! I’m sure you can use that money for a better purpose. I love that you want to work with me, and I love that you invest in yourself. But when you do things like this it puts my team on high alert and makes me look at you sideways. I know the message that you want to send is a positive one, but this comes across as the opposite.”

This is the third time that someone has done this. PLEASE STOP! To audition is FREE!! I’m sure you can use that money for a better purpose. I love that you want to work with me, and I love that you invest in yourself. But when you do things like this it puts my team on high alert and makes me look at you sideways. I know the message that you want to send is a positive one, but this comes across as the opposite. Again, the best way to work for me is to AUDITION and it’s FREE! We post breakdowns all the time for actors. JUST COME AND AUDITION. And by the way, you were great in THE NIGHT OF! It was my favorite show a couple years ago. I ALREADY SAW YOU!! So just audition and keep your money!! Again, I appreciate your effort, but that’s not the way to work for me. God bless you dreamer. I have no doubt you will make it one day!!

Young Thug Addresses YFN Lucci's Comments After 'So Much Fun' Release

After a highly-anticipated release of Young Thug's latest album So Much Fun, YFN Lucci made it very clear that he was not feeling it at all. Thanks to DJ Akademiks who reposted Lucci's Instagram story on Saturday (Aug. 17), the "All Night Long" artist referred to Thugger's latest project as a "Cap A** Album." Lucci also mentions the 2016 arrest of Young Thug that took place in Atlanta.

It was soon after that "The London" artist caught wind of Lucci's remarks and re-intensified his threats toward him on Instagram. "If I ain't like what u do for your mother and kids I WOULD'VE BEEN KILLED U," he said.

Complex reports that the two artists' beef dates back to 2017 after an exchange of words on Twitter when Thug referred to himself as the new Tupac. Lucci quickly responded saying "Pac would've never wore a dress." A series of tweets from Thugger immediately fired back warning Lucci that "doin [too] much could become a deep sleep."

So Much Fun released on Friday (Aug. 16) with features from Future, Gunna, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Quavo, J. Cole, and more.

Freddie Gibbs Supports Jay-Z's NFL Deal While Dismissing Colin Kaepernick

Since Jay-Z inked a partnership deal with the National Football League (NFL) on Tuesday (Aug. 13), the Roc Nation leader has received backlash for his decision. Although those that disagree with the Brooklyn native have made their voices heard, others that support the 4:44 artist have amplified their opinions as well.

On Monday (Aug. 19), rapper Freddie Gibbs recorded a video message expressing his stance. Within the visual, Gibbs said he’s standing by Jay-Z and addressed Kaepernick’s settlement with the league. “I’m riding for Jay-Z straight up, man. F**k Colin Kaepernick,” he said. “All y’all ni**as marched for Colin Kaepernick and he took a settlement and they didn’t tell y’all what he got or nothing. He settled, so let it go. Y’all hating on Jay-Z for trying to own something in the NFL. Y’all ni**as is some motherfu**in’ crabs.”

Social media users weighed in on the Bandana rapper’s video, including journalist Jemele Hill who wrote, “Well played, NFL. You got exactly what you wanted.” Gibbs responded, “All due respect ma’am they ain’t get nothin out of me. Big fan by the way.”

Under his management company Roc Nation, Jay-Z will helm the NFL’s live music entertainment sector. The tasks’ details are still unknown. On the topic of Kaepernick's fight for justice on and off the field, partly in the form of kneeling, Jay-Z stated "I think we're past kneeling. I think it's time to go into actionable items," before noting that "Colin’s whole thing was to bring attention to social injustice. In that case, this is a success. This is the next phase,” he said during a press conference.

In response to the headlines, Kaepernick thanked his prominent supporters for their backing.
