George Maple Returns With Video For GoldLink-Assisted "Sticks And Horses"
George Maple has returned from her one-year hiatus to deliver a sultry visual for her collaborated track with GoldLink, "Sticks and Horses," and she never made revenge look so good.
The video cuts from pink, orange, and red hues as Maple sings of a dark past. The dark and twisted visual depicts a black widows mission to seek vengeance from everyone who has wronged her, which is inspired by Maple's own experiences and struggles with money, greed, and power in the music industry. While the visual does illustrates what happened when you cross the singer, she also manages to mix in elements of sex appeal.
"I wanted the video to be a more intense version of the song. I wanted it to feel cinematic, invasive yet still feel a little light hearted. I've become increasingly fascinated by sex, money, power and greed. A combination of personal experience and observations led me to this point," she told i-D.
