Ice Cube Says Donald Trump’s Appeal Comes From His “American Dream” Lifestyle

Many people across the nation, and probably the globe, can’t understand what Donald Trump’s supporters see in the GOP presidential candidate. But according to one mogul, he might have the answer to clear the confusion.

During a video segment for Bloomberg, Ice Cube shared his thoughts on what makes Trump so viable to those that back the New Yorker. “Donald Trump is what Americans love. Donald Trump is what Americans aspire to be. Rich, powerful, do what you want to do, say what you want to say, be how you want to be,” Cube said. “That’s kind of been like the American Dream.”

Cube also stated that Trump will probably fail in helping the poor because of his comfortable upbringing.

“Do I think he’s going to do anything to help poor people or people that’s struggling? No,” he said. “Because, you know, he’s a rich white guy. How does he — how can he relate?”

Cube is currently gearing up for the release of Barbershop: The Next Cut this Friday (Apr. 15), which stars Eve, Cedric the Entertainer, Nicki Minaj and Common. The Cali native also made a historic presence alongside the members of N.W.A at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony last weekend. The rap collective was inducted into the prestigious academy which solidified another turning point for hip-hop.
