Mariah Carey Dedicates “One Sweet Day” To Prince During Paris Concert
Famed vocalist Mariah Carey lit Paris, France up with her chilling and heart-pounding dedication of “One Sweet Day” in memory of Prince.
At The Bercy (Apr. 21), Carey’s Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour stop revived her 1995 classic, which she recorded alongside Boyz II Men. Before the beginning of the sentimental melody, the highly-decorated singer fought to prevent her emotions from getting in the way of her performance.
“It’s a very sad day. But we remember the life of somebody who will always be treasured.” she said. “You’ll have to forgive me if it’s a little difficult to get through.”
This stirring tribute arrives alongside a roster of dedications by fellow artists from Canada to now Europe.
