Michael B. Jordan Pokes Fun At Kobe Bryant's Age In New Apple Commercial
Basketball fans are gearing up for Kobe Bryant's farewell game with the Los Angeles Lakers, and it seems as though some major companies are also bidding adieu to the Black Mamba in the best way possible. Bryant, whose last game at the Staples Center is Wednesday, Apr. 13, appears alongside Michael B. Jordan in a new Apple TV spot.
While sitting in the Creed actor's trailer as he rehearses for his new role in a Kobe biopic, Jordan and the legendary shooting guard are toying around with some of the Apple TV's newest capabilities, such as fast forwarding video and switching through apps with the help of Siri.
During their research, the two have a bit of a disagreement- is this film about young Kobe- a "cold-blooded assassin" on his way to stardom, or Kobe through the years- as a aging basketball star "on the verge of a steep decline"? Jordan later explains he'll be acting as Kobe throughout his 20-season career, and he's drawing inspiration from Brad Pitt in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button to play the clearly-aged basketball star. Rightfully offended, an unamused Bryant throws Jordan out of his trailer.
Check out the hysterical clip below. We'll miss you Kobe.
