Prince's Legacy To Be Celebrated At Brooklyn Party Thrown By Spike Lee
The world was stunned on Thursday afternoon (Apr. 21) after news broke that revered and iconic musician, Prince, passed away at age 57.
The cause of the "Adore" singer's death is still unknown, with the Carver County Sheriff's Office stating that he was found unresponsive in an elevator in his Paisley Park estate. Medical officials attempted to give Prince CPR, but couldn't revive the pioneering artist.
With a bevy of tributes pouring out by the minute, Prince's legacy will continue to be immortalized Thursday evening (Apr. 21) with "a celebration of his life," per Spike Lee's Instagram account. The critically-acclaimed filmographer shared on his social media accounts that an event will be held in Brooklyn, New York where fans will lift up Prince's songs through dance and singing.
