Prince’s Band The Revolution Plan To Reunite In Honor Of His Passing

Prince’s former band, The Revolution is reuniting once again in honor of the late singer’s death.

The group worked with the “Purple Rain” singer from 1979 to 1986, and they recorded Prince’s 1984 album Purple Rain, 1985’s Around The World In A Day and 1986’s Parade. In 1986 the band collapsed after a few interludes. Reportedly since then, there have been several random reunions. According to an essay written by Questlove for Rolling Stone, they reunited back in 2014, but Prince wasn’t aware of it at the time.

Yesterday, (April 26) the group announced in a video that they’ll be back together soon, and also perform in honor of him.
