Samsung Home Entertainment’s New Smart TVs Bridge Connectivity And Simplicity
While its latest mobile device, Galaxy S7, has caught the eye of many non-Android users, Samsung is getting ready to make its mark in home entertainment.
The global electronics company officially debuted its 2016 SUHD TV lineup – the KS9800 SUHD TV, KS9500 Curved SUHD TV, KS8500 SUHD Curved TV and more – at its Spring launch event at 837 NYC, Samsung’s technology playground New York City (April 12).
Its flagship device, KS9500, is the world’s first bezel-less curved TV with a modern 360-degree design perfect for viewing from any angle. The curved, elegant and sleek design brings an industrial flair to the home entertainment space, and offers a visually appealing aesthetic. Aside from its premium, 8-million perfect pixels quality, the device offers seamless cable (thanks to providers like Time Warner Cable, Dish and soon Direct TV), gaming and 4K Ultra HD streaming integration.
Each model includes the intuitive Smart Hub Interface allowing the television to not only bring the entertainment but also serve as a solid control hub everything from living room lighting to home security to communication with family members, making it a bona fide command center.
To bring the home theater experience together, Samsung also unveiled its Dolby Atmos soundbar models HW-K950 – the industry’s first soundbar with two rear wireless speakers – and HW-K850 – its latest addition. The HW-K950 and HW-K850 are slated for a Summer release and will be retailed at $1,499 and $999 respectively.
