Forget the covers you’re used to, this soprano saxophone player who took over Twitter, put those renditions to shame with his instrumental covers of some of today’s biggest singles. Corey Staggers who goes by @cstaggz05 on Twitter, first captivated his audience with a series of short instrumentals of top-charting tracks, like Drake’s “Controlla,” and Rihanna’s underground party anthem “Work.”


According to his Twitter bio, Corey Staggers is a saxophonist from New Haven, CT. According to Vibe’s analysis, he’s a magician, an improvisor, and a very special human. Check out more of his covers below, including a version of Rihanna’s “Sex With Me” that feels incredibly intimate.
