YouTube & L’Oreal Paris Are Teaming Up To Launch A Beauty Vlogger School
In the past decade, the title beauty vlogger has gone from a hobby to a full-fledged money making career for many with an affinity for the power of makeup.
Properly capitalizing off of its mass following and success, YouTube and L’Oreal Paris are teaming up to build the next vlogging-based beauty guru with their very own online beauty school. WWD reports that this dream enrollment will begin with 10 French beauty vloggers, who will begin class sessions in June for a six month stint. During that time, the chosen few will learn everything from video production to audience development—a major component to vlogging that allows individuals to have their own unique aesthetic. At completion of the project, students will receive a “BeautyTUBE” certificate.
This launch will also be documented in the form of a reality TV show that will air on L’Oreal Paris’s YouTube channel, so that those interested can get a feel for what the school will entail. It’s also said that if the beauty academy does well across the pond, they’ll be bringing it stateside, too. The only toss up with this initiative is that we’re hoping this launch will have an English translation available for us that aren’t fluent in French.
Will you be tuned in?
