Toronto Rapper Big Lean Drops Two New Tracks After Receiving Drake's Blessing
Toronto rapper Big Lean has been putting on for the 6 for quite some time, and it seems like OVO founder Drake is impressed. Months after he dropped off his fourth mixtape Enough Is Enough, Lean lit up his Soundcloud with more major singles like "Wavy." Earlier this week, the Views rapper took to Instagram to lend his support to the OVO affiliate.
Lean, who's birth name is Lorenzo Lee-jae Wright, grew up in Parma Court, a low-income neighborhood in the east end of Toronto, Ontario. He was given the moniker “Lean” as a child, after a friend mistook his mother calling him “Lee” a short form of his middle name “Lee-jae.”
Not long after Drake shouted him out on the 'Gram, Big Lean dropped off two new singles to remind the masses who he is and introduce himself to new fans. Lean details his on-going mission to get money fast in "Gwalla" produced by Murda Beatz. The Canadian lyricist channels his love for Sadie in his rendition of "Smooth Operator" produced by Disko Boogie.
