After Three Years, Chance The Rapper Returns With 'Coloring Book'
Enough talking, feast your ears on Coloring Book.
Chance The Rapper is one of the good guys, and we here at VIBE root for the good guys. It's been three years since Chance's formal mixtape debut Acid Rap was released in April 2013, which took little Chano from off 79th, and catapulted him to respected hip-hop lyricist.
And in an industry where artists are expected to churn out quality music in lightening fast speeds, Chance instead took his time and strengthened his fan base by touring and hitting the festival circuit. During the thick of it all, when folks were salivating at the ears for new tunes from Chance, instead of caving in, he delivered last May's groovy musical jambalaya of jazz, hip-hop and a touch of soul with the Donnie Trumpet and Social Experiment collaboration Surf.
But now he's back (and we're oh so grateful) On the heels of his single "No Problem" released Thursday (May 12) featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, Chance is ready to give us what we've been asking for with Coloring Book. The Chicago native's latest musical offering features collaborations from Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Future, Eryn Allen, Kirk Franklin, Young Thug and Jay Electronica.
So enough talk, feast your ears on Coloring Book.
