Lloyd Suits Up In Cap And Gown After Receiving GED

Congrats are in order for R&B singer Lloyd who just closed a chapter in his educational career. The southern crooner shared on Instagram that he celebrated getting his GED during Therrell High School’s graduation ceremony earlier this week in Georgia.

“Congrats to my fellow #graduates!!!,” he wrote on the social media account. “Was nice meeting you and your families and may you all enjoy this moment in time!”

In December 2015, the “Lay It Down” singer shared with his IG followers his elation after receiving his GED. With statements like “finish what you start,” the 30-year-old wrote words of encouragement to those out there who might feel like it’s too late to accomplish a certain goal.

“I’ve gotten so many messages of love, gratitude, and encouragement from people on here and in my immediate circle everyday. Often I am overwhelmed by it and I have a hard time responding accordingly,” he said. “…I want to say thank you to you for your enthusiasm and love, not just towards me, but towards music culture and each other as a whole.”

Sometimes, I don’t even know what to say to people. In fact, it’s not that I don’t know what to say, it’s that I don’t where to start. I do know how to start though. A simple thank you could suffice. I’ve gotten so many messages of love, gratitude, and encouragement from people on here and in my immediate circle everyday. Often I am overwhelmed by it and I have a hard time responding accordingly. I try not to sound generic, but I really do love and wish the best for everyone I meet here, and I want them to know how much it means to me that they have taken just a little time out of their day to write me.
