Lupita Nyong'o Is Reportedly In Talks To Join Cast Of 'Black Panther'
The anticipation for the film just got a lot bigger.
After gracing the big screen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the Broadway hit Eclipsed, Lupita Nyong'o is now in talks to star opposite Chadwick Boseman in the upcoming Marvel film, Black Panther.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning actress may star as a love interest to Boseman's T'Challa character. Fans may recall the superhero had a fling with a soul singer named Monica Lynne and his short marriage to Storm. Some fans were hoping to see Nyong'o play Shuri, T'Challa's half-sister who is also just as badass as any other Marvel character.
Who knows? Since the deal isn't solidified, the roles can change. Selma director Ava DuVernay passed on the film, allowing Creed's Ryan Coogler to write the screenplay and helm the project.
With all of this star power in Black Panther, it will be one Marvel film to remember in 2018.
