Nicki Minaj Blasts Ex Safaree For Lawsuit: "He's So Miserable"

Nicki Minaj had some choice words for her ex Safaree .

Nicki Minaj is just trying to be happy with her new man and new life, but it's kind of hard when her past is lingering over her. After her ex, Safaree Samuels slapped the "Feeling Myself" rapper with a hefty lawsuit, Nicki took shots at him via Twitter on May 11.

"Two years later this poor excuse of a man is suing me & claiming to have been physically & emotionally abused. Lol. He's so miserable," she tweeted.

The rapper claimed while she celebrated her new boyfriend, Meek Mill's birthday May 6, she was hit with a lawsuit.  "You can't even celebrate your happiness anymore w/o being victimized. Miserable ppl refuse to move on w/their lives," she continued.

The rapper went on to tell her fans her ex-boyfriend and former hype man continued to send her emails for months although he knew she was in a relationship.

"U really want me showing these emails?" she asked. "I know u need a story line to be on reality TV. God punishing u & u bout to get more!!!!! Putting on a show for the media then emailing me."

She also added Safaree has been calling her mother crying. She even made accusations that he had stolen from her, which she never prosecuted him for.

Although it's unclear what physical and emotional abuse Samuels' lawsuit is referring to, it is known that the two have a pretty lengthy history. Nicki and Samuels split in 2014, after 12 years of dating. Although the two had a rocky break up, the rapper has since moved on to Meek Mill, whom she's been dating for more than a year now.

While rumors circulated Samuels was planning to slap his ex with a lawsuit concerning his role in writing for her albums, foul play was never mentioned. Safaree has yet to address any of Nicki's claims or responded to whether or not he has been constantly emailing her.

We'll just have to see how this one plays out. In the meantime catch Nicki Minaj's Twitter rant below.

XXXTentacion's Posthumous Album 'Skins' Tops The Billboard 200

XXXTentacion's posthumous album Skins has topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, which marks the second time this year the late-20-year-old has held the number one spot. XXXTentacion was killed in Florida in June.

Maroon 5 Scrambling To Find Guest Performers For Super Bowl Halftime Show

Between the NFL’s stance on the National Anthem and the league’s treatment of Colin Kaepernick, performing at the Super Bowl halftime show clearly isn’t as alluring as it used to be.

Maroon 5 has reportedly been scrambling to finding someone to share the stage with them at the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in Atlanta next month, but it’s not for lack of trying. The band is having trouble pinning down special guests because, “No one wants to associate themselves with the NFL,” US Weekly reports.

Cardi B,  who collaborated with the Maroon 5 on the hit single “Girls Like You,”  mulled it over, but ultimately turned down the Super Bowl invitation.

“It’s a no right now,” a source told the outlet of Cardi’s decision.

Andre 3000 and Mary J. Blige were approached to perform as well, per a Variety report. Blige was unable to commit due to scheduling issues. Other alleged names being tossed around include Usher, Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, and Madonna.

Since Atlanta is a virtual hotbed of Black artists who were seemingly overlooked to headline the show, focusing on local talent might be Maroon 5’s safest bet. According to Variety, Migos and Lil Yachty could be in the running to fill the empty spot.

The NFL has yet to officially announce Maroon 5 as the halftime act. Meanwhile, a Change.org petition calling for the band to drop out of the show has received nearly 75,000 signatures.

Super Bowl LIII goes down Feb. 3, 2019, at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Rihanna’s Vocal Producer Refers To Her New Music As “Incredible”

It's been nearly three years since Rihanna dropped an album. Besides rumors that the 30-year-old singer will unveil a double project to boast a collection of reggae/dancehall songs while refraining from alienating her mainstream fan base, supporters haven't heard much.

But on Thursday (Dec. 13), a fan posted a video of vocal producer Kuk Harrell's Instagram Live where he said a few things about Rihanna's upcoming album. An Instagram user asked, "How's R9?" to which Harrell chuckles and says that he often gets bombarded with that question.

The vocal creative behind artists like Jamie Foxx, Janet Jackson, and Beyonce simply said that "R9" — being that it will be her ninth studio album — "…is great."

"R9 is amazing. It’s incredible. And that’s all I'm going to say," Harrell added.

The Bajan artist's last album, Anti, was released in January 2016 and topped the charts in America. The soundscape became another hit for the "Umbrella" singer, spawning four international top 10 singles and went platinum three times over in the U.S. No wonder the self-proclaimed Good Girl Gone Bad feels the pressure.

In October 2018, the singer-turned-entrepreneur/actress shared a meme on social media referencing how fans continuously heckle her about the new album: "I feel attacked. ***valley girl who’s never been attacked voice*** R9 chronicles."
