Premiere: SauceLord Rich's "What You Want" Video Was Inspired By A Wild Jean-Michel Basquiat Dream
FKi rapper SauceLord Rich says his video was inspired by a dream full of drugs, women, and art from Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Rappers are out here trying to make dreams come true everyday, but SauceLord Rich took things to a whole new level with his video for "What You Want." The FKi musician claims the idea for the song was inspired by a dream one night, which was filled with drugs, hot girls and art from Jean-Michel Basquiat. According to Rich, it was the wildest studio session he's ever had.
"One night I had the wildest dream ever," SauceLord Rich told VIBE. "I was in the wildest studio session ever with drugs, guitars, bitches, and Jean-Michel Basquiat painting the craziest FKi logo with the brightest colors. Shit was wild. Then I woke up the next morning and hit the studio. My mans Stroud came in from the other room and heard the sauce I was cooking up in the next room. He jumped on the joint and we made a dope record."
Four days after he and Stroud finished the song, Rich teamed up with director Mike Garcia to recreate his turnt up dream. As hot models roam the studio and smoke from numerous blunts in rotation fill the room, SauceLord literally makes his nocturnal vision into reality with his latest visual off his recent project Know Me, which features songs from Quentin Miller, T.I., Key!, Young Dro and more. Be on the look out for Rich's follow-up mixtape King Wolf dropping this summer.
