Prince's Doctor Has Been Identified In Light Of Medical Scandal
After DEA agents raided Prince's Paisley Park estate on May 11 for medical records, the name of his doctor who treated the late singer weeks ahead of his death has been revealed.
Doctor Michael T. Schulenberg was the doctor who arrived at the "Purple Rain" singer's home with test results, only to find the music icon had been pronounced dead moments earlier, according to documents obtained by The New York Times.
Dr. Schulenberg also reportedly saw Prince weeks prior to his death, after he cancelled his Atlanta show. The papers obtained during the search do not disclose what the singer was diagnosed with, but the records reveal Schulenberg performed a number of tests and prescribed the singer with medication (the names were also not disclosed).
The search warrant also request medical records from North Memorial Medical Center, where the doctor was formerly employed - although those records have not yet been disclosed, according to The Los Angeles Times.
There has been much speculation of the cause of Prince's untimely death, with drug abuse mentioned. The autopsy was performed one day after Prince's death on April 21, but has not been released to the public.
