Kehlani Deletes Instagram Post Congratulating Kyrie Irving On NBA Finals Win
Kehlani has been unfairly catching social media’s wrath over her breakup with Kyrie Irving, and it reignited Sunday (June 19) night after the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals.
What should’ve been a celebration for the Cavs and the city of Cleveland’s first national championship in 52 years, morphed into a slander session that made Kehlani a trending topic on Twitter.
She briefly deactivated her account, but returned to Instagram with a message to Irving Monday afternoon that was later deleted. “Tough night for the city but congratulations to the most humble person I’ve ever met! @kyrieirving I love u!”
The Oakland native’s relationship with social media hasn’t been the same since her other ex, PartyNextDoor, posted a photo of them in bed in March. People assumed she cheated on Irving, which he denied, yet the flood of bullying comments Kehlani to a suicide attempt.
