Latin Songwriters Hall Of Fame To Crown Yandel With Prestigious Honor
Yandel has another win to add to his growing list of accolades as a solo artist. Roc Nation's reggaeton star will be honored by the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame at La Musa Awards on Oct. 13 in Miami.
"I feel very proud and honored to represent my genre in this prestigious event and to be recognized by the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame with the Premio Triunfador," Yandel said of the honor, which is given to young musicians who have reached outstanding achievements in their career while contributing to the development of Latin music. "I can't wait to share this new achievement with my fans and the highly acclaimed group of musicians that will participate in the ceremony."
Prince Royce, Miguel and Fonseca are among the names of previous honorees.
"Yandel has created his own musical style," hall of fame founders Desmond Child and Rudy Pérez said in a statement. "He continues to inspire millions of listeners around the world, breaking barriers that demonstrate that with every song that he writes, the sky and the soul have no limits. Yandel is a hero not only for the Puerto Rican pueblo but for Latinos everywhere."
