So... Pusha T Created Your Favorite McDonald's Jingle
The rapper is just pleased he wasn't ridiculed for the "I'm Lovin' It" jingle.
Hip-hop vets are full of plenty information, just take former record industry executive Steve Stoute who shared the real creator of the infamous McDonald's jingle, "I'm Lovin It" during his Hot 97 interview on Thursday (June 2).
Stoute, who is the CEO of the marketing firm Translation, took a look back with Ebro Darden and the rest of the morning crew into his biggest partnerships with the firm and how Pusha T created the jingle for the fast food chain. While many were under the impression Pharrell Williams was behind it, Stoute quickly corrected the group.
"No, you know who did that?" Stoute said. "Pusha T. That's crazy that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald's 'I'm Lovin It.'"
Push confirmed the news on Twitter but didn't share how much he made (hint: probably a lot).
The track, featuring Justin Timberlake was the global theme for McDonald's for over a decade. Stoute also revealed it was the first jingle the company ever attached to its name.
It's clear King Push makes incredible crossover tracks. The rapper and his brother No Malice were featured on Timberlake's first solo hit single, "Like I Love You" as Clipse back in 2002.
This week, the G.O.O.D Music president also released "Drug Dealers Anonymous," another hit featuring Jay Z. Check out more from the insightful interview below.
