A Lighter Shade Of Brown Rapper, Bobby “DTTX” Ramirez, Dies At 46

After being in a coma for nearly two weeks, A Lighter Shade of Brown rapper Bobby “DTTX” Ramirez died Monday (July 18). He was 46.

According to TMZ Ramirez was found unresponsive in Las Vegas on July 7. He reportedly had a temperature of 107 degrees, and was placed on life support at the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

The Riverside, California native (whose stage name stands for “Don’t Try to Xerox”) is said to have battled alcohol addiction. His family believes he died from a heat stroke or cardiac arrest, TMZ reports.

Group member Robert “ODM” Gutierrez (a.k.a., “One Dope Mexican”) confirmed the death on Facebook late Monday, asking for prayers during this “difficult time.”

The Mexican rap duo scored their biggest hit with “On A Sunday Afternoon,” off their 1990 debut album, Brown and Proud.
