DJ Greg Street, B.o.B., Big K.R.I.T, & Akon Encourages Black People With New Song, "I Am Somebody"
Yes, you are somebody.
With the current racial strife here in America, and the killings of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and five Dallas, Texas police officers, DJ Greg Street recruits rappers Big K.R.I.T., Akon and B.o.B for a auspicious track titled, "I Am Somebody."
With snippets from the popular words from activist Jesse Jackson, the rappers promise to make good with talents, and remind cops that they are human beings just trying to make an honest paycheck. They encourage those behind bars that they're more than a prison number.
Akon handles hook duties.
Over the past week, Alton Sterling was killed by a Baton Rouge, La., police officer. Philando Castile was killed by a St. Paul, Minn., cop and five Dallas, Texas cops were killed--and some wounded--by a citizen--whose name has not yet been released-- upset with cops murdering blacks.
