Drake's "VIEWS" Takes Number One Spot for 11th Week
The Toronto rapper remains at the top for an 11th week, the most since Taylor Swift's 2014 album, "1989".
Drake's Views remains atop the Billboard charts as the number one album for an 11th time. After nine consecutive weeks on top, Views was shortly dethroned by Blink 182's California earlier in July, but is now back in the number one spot for the last two weeks.
The Canadian rapper's fourth LP has the most weeks at number one since Taylor Swift's 2014 album, "1989", which was last seen at number one for the week of February 21st, 2015.
Views sold 89,000 album units for the week ending July 21st, even though 64% of the sales are from streaming. Sales dropped three percent from last week according to Billboard.
In the last 20 years, Views is only one of eight albums to attain the number one spot for at least 11 weeks.
