Dynamic Duo Oprah Winfrey & Ava Duvernay Team Up For 'A Wrinkle In Time'
The famed director and media titan are teaming up once again.
Hollywood has produced some lasting working relationships between actors and directors over the years: Michael Fassbender and Steve McQueen, Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg, and Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese. As of right now, it appears as though Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay are looking to join the list of names. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the media titan is teaming up once again with the famed director for her upcoming adaption of the children's book, A Wrinkle In Time.
The story revolves around a young girl who seeks to help of supernatural beings, her brother and her friend to track down her missing father. Winfrey is in final talks to portray Mrs. Which, one of the supernatural beings, in the upcoming film adaptation. We first got a glimpse of the working relationship between Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay when Winfrey appeared in DuVernay's MLK biopic Selma. Following the film's success, DuVernay and Winfrey continued their partnership with the upcoming OWN drama Queen Sugar.
