Solange Knowles is in pain over the assault on black lives. The singer/songwriter added her voice to the Black Lives Matter discussion that has taken over social media following the police killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

Taking to Instagram to honor the slain in song on Thursday (July 7), she wrote, “Been singing Syreeta's 'Black Maybe' over and over again trying to comfort my weary heart...But what is comfort when the images of slain black bodies left to bleed, is sketched into your being...over and over again?”
Knowles' big sister Beyonce also honored victims during her Formation World Tour stop in Glasgow on Thursday (July 7). They join a number of celebrities, such as Drake and Chris Brown, in speaking up against police brutality in light of current affairs.
