Zendaya Might Be Joining Hugh Jackman In P.T. Barnum Musical

It looks like Zendaya is planting the seeds for what could be a long lasting acting career in Hollywood. Following her latest stint in Spider-Man: Homecoming, word has come that the multi-hyphenate artist might secure another major film role alongside a major Hollywood A-list actor. According to The Hollywood ReporterZendaya is reportedly in early talks to star in The Greatest Showman, a musical film helmed by Fox Studios that will chronicle the life of P.T. Barnum, the founder of the traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Zendaya joins an elite cast of Hollywood heavyweights that include X-Men franchise player Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron. As far as their respective roles, Jackman will portray Barnum, while Efron while portray Barnm’ sidekick who moonlights as a playwright. Zendaya, on the other hand, is set to portray a trapeze artist who becomes the subject of romantic attention by Efron’s character.
