DJ Khaled Celebrates His First #1 Album With His Unborn Son

DJ Khaled already told you he the best countless times, and now he’s got the proof to back it up. Over the weekend, the face of We The Best Music Group got the best phone call from his Epic boss L.A. Reid. As he sat by the pool, Reid informed the King of Snapchat that Major Key had bumped Drake’s VIEWS from the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

The album has accumulated at least 95,000 equivalent album units within a week of its release, 59,000 of which were in traditional album sales. DJ Khaled made his Billboard 200 chart debut just over 10 years ago, with Listennn: The Album. Before his latest achievement, the closest Khaled got to the #1 spot was when he dropped his Kiss The Ring album in 2012.

Khaled is known to pop several bottles when he or his team tops the charts, like he did with Cool & Dre when Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind” hit #1. Not long after he received the awesome news, Khaled hit the sea and sprayed champagne all over the back of his boat as he hollered with pure excitement. Not only did pop bottles of bubbly, but he also took some time to congratulate and show love to his unborn son on the major accomplishment.

Congratulations to Khaled and the Epic squad!
