Florida Teen 'Dr. Love' Arrested Again On Theft Charges
Malachi Love-Robinson was charged with grand theft and writing a bad check.
Malachi Love-Robinson, also known as "Dr. Love," has taken a trip back to jail on new charges.
According to the Sun-Sentinel, the 19-year-old was arrested and charged with grand theft and writing a bad check. Police claim Robinson went to the West Palm Nissan in May and wrote a $1,500 bounced check for a vehicle. The grand theft charge stems from an Oct. 2015 that hasn't been disclosed. Robinson was previously free on a $18,000 bail was later released on a $8,000 bail.
The list of new charges has been added to his 12 existing felony counts. Since his February arrest on practicing medicine without a license, Robinson has kept his holistic talents to himself. His story went viral after it was discovered that the teen opened up a clinic in his efforts to emulate a doctor. He began his practice at the age of 17 in 2015 when he performed at least one gynecological exam. He told reporters he was a "doctor of homeopathic medicine" and didn't mean to mislead any of his patients.
His various charges are punishable by up to 70 years in prison. The Florida resident will meet in court Oct. 5 for a hearing. His trial will begin Nov. 7.
