Twitter Isn’t Here For James Harden’ New Sneaker Collab

Houston Rockets guard, James Harden is the newest NBA player to get shred to pieces by the vicious trolls on Twitter for his new sneaker collaboration with Adidas. Harden’s “Triple Black” signature sneaker leaked Tuesday (Aug. 23), and to say the least, people are not here for it.

To put it lightly, the Harden sneakers look like foam, work shoes that light up every time you stomp. “James Harden dropping the Air Coal Miners to corner that Appalachian sneaker market,” one person tweeted. “Adidas gave James Harden therapeutic shoes,” another chimed in. “Finally Harden makes a basketball shoe for me, a waiter at Chili’s.”

Harden’s failed sneaker release follows after Steph Curry dropped his “Curry 2 Low” sneakers in partnership with Under Armour. Curry was also destroyed by Twitter, saying that the only group to wear his shoes would be senior citizens on Life Alert. While it’s nice to see these athletes take a shot at the fashion and retail industries, maybe they should leave the sneaker collabs to musicians like Kanye West.
