LAPD, S.W.A.T Show Up At Chris Brown's House Due To Gun Allegations

...and CB is not having it.

Chris Brown woke up this morning to something he's none too pleased about.

Allegations swirled that the Royalty musician threatened a young woman with a gun after an argument in his Los Angeles home earlier this morning (Aug. 30).

According to TMZ, "Chris was in the house with several friends, including Ray J. They were talking and at one point Ray was getting a tattoo when some "uninvited guests" appeared inside the house and were asked to leave." The story starts to get a little muffled after that, with the woman who called 911 claiming that Brown pulled a gun on her after asking her and another woman to leave, while another person inside the house insists that Breezy was asleep the entire time.

"At some point Ray J left the house and when he got to the base of the driveway, police handcuffed him and seized his BMW," TMZ writes. "They checked his ID, uncuffed him and let him go, but kept his car as evidence."

Several news outlets are also reporting that the LAPD and the S.W.A.T are currently outside of Brown's house as part of the ongoing investigation, and are waiting for a warrant to search his home.

While heaps of drama and speculation is unfolding around him, the R&B star is posting Instagram videos voicing his disdain with the entire situation.

"So, I’m sleep half the damn night, I just wake up, all these mother f**kin' helicopter choppers is around," he says in one video posted not too long ago. "Come on, my ni**a. What the f**k else do y'all want from me, bro? Every three months y'all come up with somethin’ bro…what’s gonna be next? I’m gonna fart an elephant?”

In another video, Brown says that this is just good publicity for him (he even manages to plug his song "Grass Ain't Greener"), however, he continues to proclaim his innocence. He says that the police are "the worst gang in the world," and that they won't find any gun in his house.

Story developing.

UPDATE (8:57 PM EST)

Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, ABC News reports. LAPD detective Meghan Aguilar tells reporters the singer was arrested shortly before 5 p.m. LAPD also described the singer as cooperative during the incident. The police haven't confirmed if there was a gun found at the singer's home.

One of the attendants at the gathering identified as Christian Bonilla took to Facebook to describe his version of what happened. Bonilla hints that the singer did argue with Baylee Curran and will provide more details on the incident with a future interview with TMZ.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Clarifies If He Identifies As Black Or Samoan

He's an actor, a former pro-wrestler, a father of three and he identifies as both Black and Samoan.

Over the weekend, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson took to Twitter to clear up any and all misconceptions about how he views himself. The matter grew out of a discussion about how Johnson was "presented" in his early days with WWE.

A Twitter user claimed that Johnson "was never booked, proclaimed, or titled as First [sic] black champion," and Johnson quickly shut that down.

"Glad I came across this and I'll give you guys some context & truth," he began his tweet with. "I identify as exactly what I am - both. Equally proud. Black/Samoan." Johnson is the son of a Samoan mother and a Black father. He took after his dad, Rocky Johnson, who  was also a professional wrestler.

The semi-retired pro-wrestler had 17 championships reigns while he was in the WWE. Recently, he's been promoting his Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, on his social media. The film also stars Jason Statham and Idris Elba.

Cool, he identifies as Samoan in WWE and was booked that way after Nation days. Was never booked, proclaimed, or titled as First black champion. And hardcore wrestling fans don't name him as such as well. Thus nobody calls him a black champion. Anoa'i family background angle

Glad I came across this and I’ll give you guys some context & truth. I identify as exactly what I am - both. Equally proud. Black/Samoan. And my friend, let me expand your thoughts a bit here - I transcended race in wrestling so there was no “booked that way”. Thx guys

Woman In Viral Maya Angelou Video Explains Controversial Moment

Last week, a viral video of Maya Angelou sparked a debate surrounding courtesy ethics on Twitter. Following the clickable moment, Kim Watts, the young woman featured in the video, came forward to explain why she responded in that manner at the time.

At the time of the video, which was recorded on the talk show People Are Talking, Kim Watts was a 20-year-old college student. Now at 49 years old, she stated that she was taken aback by Ms. Angelou's comment.

"Her response threw me off," Watts said speaking to the Associated Press. "It was a little awkward for me, but at the same time, it was like, 'Oh my God, this is Maya Angelou. I remember feeling like, oh my gosh I insulted one of my icons, a person I look up to."

Adopted and raised by a white couple, Watts explained that she was not raised to address elders by suffix titles such as "Mr." or "Miss." Watts said she can now understand the acclaimed poet's steely response.

"I wasn't thinking about that in the moment," the established educator said. "I like that this conversation, though, is focused on respect. Given my age now, I can see both sides of it."

There were various takes on the Angelou and Watts video. While some thought Angelou was being too harsh, others thought Watts was at fault. "It's an unwritten rule on respect for elders in which a lot of us were born and raised to 'put a handle on it'," One Twitter user who goes by @PrinceCharmingP told AP. "Me personally, coming from a strong Black Southern family, I didn't see anything wrong with her response. Everyone is raised differently."

Shaquille O'Neal To Join Papa John's Board Of Directors

It looks like Shaquille O'Neal added a new title to his post-basketball resume. The Inside the NBA co-host has joined Papa John's board of directors, CNN reports. As an ambassador for the pizza chain, the former athlete will rake in $8.25 million in a three-year endorsement deal. O'Neal also invested in nine Papa John's stores in Atlanta, Georgia.

This isn't the 47-year-old's first dive in the food world. In 2016, the NBA Hall-of-Famer bought a Krispy Kreme located in Atlanta, he opened Big Chicken in Las Vegas, and recently, his self-titled restaurant debuted in Los Angeles.

"Shaquille has an excellent entrepreneurial background, including as a restaurant franchise owner, and is a natural creative marketer," Jeff Smith, Chairman of Papa John's Board of Directors, said in a statement.

O'Neal also expressed his enthusiasm with his latest partnership. "I have truly enjoyed the high-quality Papa John's product for years and am excited to be able to help Papa John's raise their game to new heights," he said. "This is a triple threat opportunity for me. I am excited to join the board and to help lead from the top, while also investing in nine stores in my home town [sic] of Atlanta and being an ambassador to the brand."

The father-of-six appears to be the saving grace for the company after a series of public scandals over the past year and a half; Papa John's founder was accused of using a racial slur. Since the announcement, the brand's stock has gone up five percent.

Time for a pizza party! I’m excited to join @PapaJohns as a member of the Board of Directors and investor in 9 stores in #Atlanta. Excited to work with Papa John’s team members and customers - more here: https://t.co/PRXG7ORtFk pic.twitter.com/c5uj5BRuQ1
