Olympic Athletes Are Competing Big And Living In Squander Conditions In Rio


Every four years we get to see athletes from all over the world compete for Gold for the sake of their native land. We’ve come to know legends such as Michelle Kwan, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt. There are over 28 sports, 300 events and over 10,000 athletes who will compete starting on Friday (Aug. 5), so it’s no question that the accommodations for this same athletes should be superb right? Think again.

Rio is in pretty bad shape and a few Jamaican Olympians decided to broadcast the entire ordeal. From the video, you can see paint cans, ladders and remnants of construction material and more scattered around the hotel room. “This is just a mess,” says one of the women in the video.
