Good Deeds: Rasheed Wallace And Stephen Jackson Personally Delivered Water To Flint Residents
This past weekend (Aug. 1), Rasheed Wallace returned to Flint, Mich., delivering cases of clean water to the community. The former Detroit Piston was accompanied by his friend Stephen Jackson, as well as ESPN’s Rachel Nichols for his second trip to the troubled town. The first trip was back in February when he drove a truck full of containers of water from North Carolina to help aid the Flint community.
“The crisis has still not been settled,” Wallace told Nichols. The 41-year-old went to a local Target store and bought every case of water they had. He then went throughout the community driving a truck full of cases, hand-delivering them to residents impacted by the poisoned water.
