Rick Ross Marks His 10-Year Anniversary Of ‘Port Of Miami’ Debut With A Live Concert
Rick Ross has been doing the damn thing since making his break in the music industry. The rapper and entrepreneur has released eight studio albums, about 85 singles, countless mixtapes, curated the Maybach Music Group record label, and even took over multiple franchises of Wingstop.
Now, to celebrate his musical accomplishments, being one of the greatest rappers of all time to be able to achieve 10 years of fluid success, the rapper is throwing a live concert for his fans.
Ross released his first studio album, Port of Miami, back in 2006, and will be taking the masterpiece to the real Port of Miami, located in Florida. From the album came two of his biggest hit singles, “Hustlin” and “Push It.” The concert will mainly be based around the album, but the rapper won’t fall short of doing it big.
Ricky Rozay is shocked to have made it this far in the competitive industry. He has partnered with Tidal to live stream the concert, that way everyone, in all different parts of the world, gets a chance to partake in the celebration of this epic moment in his career.
“Me, 10 years in the game, I never would have imagined it. … I said this year, I wanted to celebrate the 10-year anniversary, and not just with my city, not just with a concert with my city,” he said. “But I wanted to do something that the world would see and appreciate. … So this Tidal X event, it’s going to be live-streamed globally all around the world. The surprises, you gotta watch. Who coming, you wanna watch.”
Ross’s 10th anniversary Port of Miami concert will come to fruition on Monday (Aug. 28), at 8:30 p.m.
