Slayter Lays Down The Law On “Everybody Eats (Freestyle)”

Music

New York rapper Slayter eats up another hard Thelonius Martin beat on his “Everybody Eats” freestyle. The viral videos of his cohort, Coldgame Kev, and his “dear squad” sparked this one.

The Harlem native gets very thorough and visceral over Martin’s gritty production as he’s rapping about overcoming being “dead broke, sleeping on his momma’s couch” and surviving street wars while losing friends. But he also touches on his success — and enjoying the fruits of his labor. The lyrics are emotional and haunting while matching his gruff vocals that perfectly set the tone of the freestyle. And for a freestyle, this is quite elaborate.

Catch him spitting harrowing bars about his past like, “Have you ever seen your mans in a casket/Crying in church right in front of the pastor/If I’mma die young, I’m a son of a bastard”.

This will be the second time Slayter and Martin has collaborated since their EP in January Dirty Game.
