Celebrities Come Together For Powerful #SomedayIsToday PSA

In the past couple of months, celebrities have been stepping up and speaking out against police brutality and systematic racism. The latest demonstration of this comes in the form of a public service announcement produced by Campaign Zero and directed by Tommy Oliver. Rutina Wesley, Meagan Good, Michael Ealy and nearly a dozen other celebrities are featured in this powerful and emotional video that calls for immediate change.

This PSA is broken into two parts. The first part features each celebrity speaking the lyrics to the song “We Shall Overcome.” Keisha Epps and Meagan Good were so moved by the words they were speaking that they each shed a tear. Aja Naomi King closes out the first section of the video asking “When is someday?”

In the second and shorter part of the video, various celebs asserted that “someday is today,” making it clear that equality and an end to violence must happen now.
