Isaiah Rashad Opens Up About Overcoming Addiction & Talks New Project
Isaiah Rashad's The Sun's Tirade project will be released on Sept 2.
Isaiah Rashad has been on a bit of a hiatus since his 2013 BET cypher. With two years in between his mixtape Cilvia Demo, the TDE member has his debut LP on the way, set to release this Friday (Sept. 2). The 17-track album is titled The Sun's Tirade and features the likes of Skywalker, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Sid and other TDE family.

The Chattanooga rapper said he was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse for the last couple years talking to Ebro and Laura Stylez of Hot 97. He became addicted to Xanax and alcohol to the point where Top Dawg CEO Anthony Tiffith stepped in. Rashad opened up about his struggles on the Juan Epstein podcast, which got to the point where he was almost dropped from TDE.
