Never Too Late For Love: Jada Pinkett Smith's Mom Jumps The Broom
The actress' 63-year-old mother tied the knot with her family by her side last week.
It's only right that the perfect summer ends with a unity of love. Jada Pinkett-Smith's mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones took full advantage of the moment when she got married in a small ceremony last week.
Wearing a white Berta gown, the 63-year-old glowed in the very detailed beaded and laced dress with her husband. Also seen in the Instagram photo shared by Berta were Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Banfield-Jones has grown to be a favorite with fans of the Smith family. In 2014, Jada shared a photo of her mom and her goal-worthy six pack abs. “Willow took this shot of her grandmother, my mother, emerging from the ocean today. She is 61!” Pinkett-Smith captioned the picture. “I wanna be her when I grow up:).”
The two share a close bond, one that Banfield-Jones holds close to her heart. In an interview with Redbook, she shared how their differences bring them closer together. "I don't feel like being her mother gives me the right to interfere," she said. "I respect that we grew up in different times. Her perspective on things often differs from mine: It's old-school/new-school. I've learned to trust the decisions she makes for herself and her family because they are excellent."
To those who have given up on love know that it's never too late for a fresh start.
