When No One Was Looking, Kanye West Joined Instagram


Kanye West has decided to expand his social media reach by joining Instagram.

The rapper posted his first photo on Sunday (Sept. 18), a still from 1990 film Total Recall. Just six months beforehand, Kanye toyed with the idea of jumping on the platform. “I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition,” he tweeted in March. “No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram… It’s my art…”

We’re sure ‘Ye will stick around, unlike his buddy Jay Z. The frequent photographer of Beyonce’s best IG photos created an account last year that was active for a mere 14 hours. After posting a throwback photo of himself and the late Micheal Jackson for the King of Pop’s 57th birthday, the profile vanished.

Kanye currently stands at 570,000 followers, but that will increase with any sighting of North or Saint West.
