Mick Jenkins & Smino Are Coming To A City Near You With ‘A Quest For Love’ Tour
With festival season coming to a close, artists are booking cross-country tours left and right, making sure that not only the masses but their most loyal fans get to experience their music, too.
The same goes for rising Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins, who has become known for his thoughtful, poetic rhymes and his organic live instrumentation. On the heels of his highly-anticipated debut album, The Healing Component (out on Sept. 23), Jenkins is preparing to hit the road for the “A Quest for Love” tour with support from fellow Red Bull Sound Select artist Smino, who is equally getting his fair share of shine as a Chi-town transplant whose melodic bars are five mic-worthy.
“”[We’re] just trying to see how much love is out there in the world in a time where we need it the most and spreading it everywhere we go,” Jenkins said of the tour and the meaning behind its name. “I want to actively talk about love, what it is. What it means to people, what it looks like and in just mere conversation that energy might be transferred. But with the music that is precisely what we aim to do.”
1st American Tour.
