Supa Dupa Fly: Shia LaBeouf Got Missy Elliott Inked On His Knee Caps
It looks like Missy Elliott will forever walk with Shia LaBeouf, figuratively speaking that is. The actor got two matching tattoos on his knee caps of Misdemeanor after what he details, as spontaneous trip to the tattoo parlor.
Many speculated that the former Transformers star had a few screws loose, but this new stunt might be the tip on the scale. During Shia's interview with Variety, the actor made a point to mention almost accepting a role in the summer blockbuster, Suicide Squad, and how he wound up with Missy's face on his legs.
While shooting for his new film, American Honey, Shia explained that the crew would always visit a local tattoo shop. "One of the things we’d do as a group, we’d all go to the f**king tattoo shop,” Shia says. But Shia says he's not a super fan of the "Pep Rally" artist; he was actually kind of back into it. “I don’t love Missy Elliott like I wanna get two Missy Elliott tattoos, But you’re in a tattoo parlor, and peer pressure.” A tiny smiley face tattoo might have sufficed, but Shia seems like a 'go big or go home' type of guy.
Unfortunately, there is no photographic proof of the tattoos, and it's a little unclear if the ink was permanent or just a funny prank. But whatever the case may be, Shia is now the newest celeb to join the movement of tatting music icons on their body, right behind Kevin Durant. The Golden State Warrior recently got a tat of Rick James on his thigh to go along with his tattoos of Tupac and the Wu-Tang Clan.
But in regards to Shia's new ink, we have to wonder what Missy thinks about all of this.
