Suspect Arrested In Connection To Drake Tour Bus Burglary
Travion King was reportedly seen on surveillance cameras entering Drake's tour bus and stealing up to $3 million worth of jewelry.
A suspect has been arrested in connection to a jewelry heist that took place on Drake's tour bus during a stop in Arizona.
USA Today reports Travion King, 21, was arrested and charged Wednesday (Sept. 8) with suspicion of criminal trespassing and burglary for swiping a suitcase from the bus that reportedly belonged to DJ Future the Prince. On Tuesday (Sept. 7,) as Prince and Drake took the stage at Talking Stick Resort Arena, $3 million worth of jewelry was stolen from the tour bus. Sgt. Vince Lewis, a Phoenix police spokesman, told reporters King was easy to trace due to his heavy job history with local concert venues. He was also a former employee of the Stalking Stick venue. Lewis also stated that the jewelry did not belong to the rapper.
Meanwhile, Drake was asked by TMZ about the entire incident, which he dodged with ease. "Nobody robbed me," the rapper said. With the incident only taking a day to be solved, fans have followed the rumors such as legendary Houston staple J. Prince expediting the outcome of the burglary.
Nonetheless, the show must and did go on. On Wednesday night, (Sept. 7,) celebrities like Rihanna, Jay Z, Beyonce, Lebron James enjoyed the Los Angeles tour stop with surprise performances by Cali natives Ty Dolla $ign and YG. Drake and Future will continue their Summer Sixteen tour by returning to the Staples Center Friday evening (Sept. 9) and will conclude at New Jersey's Prudential Center next month.
