Kanye West Asks Fans To Sing & Pray For Kid Cudi During Saint Pablo Show

Despite his long-winded rants about who exactly knows what, Kanye West does have a couple of nice bones left in his body. During Ye’s Saint Pablo Tour stop in Los Angeles on Tuesday (Oct. 25), the rapper promptly stopped his interactive set to ask the crowd to sing along with him in honor of Kid Cudi, who recently entered a rehabilitation center for suicidal urges.

In fan videos captured during the night, Yeezy encouraged screaming fans to sing the hook on “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” a track the two most recently collaborated on before the drama started. “So Cudi, he in rehab right now, but he got a number one song on the radio and I want you to sing so he can hear it,” Kanye said in one clip posted on Twitter. “I want him to hear that. Cudi, you hear them?”

Kanye’s tribute interestingly comes only a few weeks after the Pablo rapper boldly blasted his former collaborator during another tour set, claiming he “birthed” him. “Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention Ye name. I birthed you,” Kanye said in response to Cudi’s initial rant slamming Ye and Drake for not writing their own music.

It seems in light of Cudi’s emotional letter, detailing his struggle with depression and other mental health issues, Kanye has mustered up some sympathy for the Man on the Moon rapper. Drake, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have the same sentiment. The rapper has recently been under fire after releasing his single “Two Birds, One Stone,” in which he appeared to take a shot at Cudi, saying, “You were the man on the moon/Now you just go through your phases/Life of the angry and famous.”
